Upgrading to the most recent hardware / software platforms.

We can re-host just about any PICK-based system to the most up-to-date MultiValue platforms. The result would be a tremendous increase in system speed and productivity with increased reliability. We have successfully re-hosted from other, older PICK-based systems (i.e. AP/Native, D3/SCO) to D3 for Windows 2000/2003 or Linux.

These newer D3 releases are much more stable and provide functionality not present in older Pick/D3 versions. A dual-processor Intel Xeon-based server can be set up (at a very reasonable cost) that can easily handle up to 200 users using either Windows 2000/2003 Server or RedHat Linux Enterprise Version 4. . Our applications can also be installed on IBM AIX/Risc 6000 platforms.

We also have experience with the Ultimate/Unidata platforms. We have developed routines to convert data between D3/Pick and Ultimate/Unidata.

Customization

We have extensive experience with customizing previously developed MultiValue/PICK software packages. Complete source code is provided with all of our modifications. We can also install our pre-written software modules to work in tandem with your current software.

Integration with Windows

We can integrate Windows workstations into PICK/MultiValue systems and re-write existing screens to take advantage of the many capabilities of Windows (i.e. pull-down menus, ability to use mouse and better graphics / fonts). We have modules available that allow the creation of Excel spreadsheets ), database files (Access / SQL Server) and Microsoft Word files directly from PICK files. We have several successful network installations.

We have also successfully developed many Visual Basic applications that utilize data from PICK/D3 servers. One of our newest products is a very easy-to-use Windows/ODBC-based customer lookup/inquiry screen that operates very much like a phone or address book, with total integration with our Accounts Payable and Sales History modules. Another recently developed product allows users to create graphics using real-time PICK data. We have developed a barcode imaging system and an on-line documentation system that interfaces with MultiValue database systems. We are currently developing routines using the new Visual Basic 2005 / .Net platform using Raining Data's PickDP Data Provider.
